What each source tells you
Ofgem energy price cap. Ofgem sets the maximum unit rate and standing charge suppliers can charge on standard variable tariffs, updated every 3 months, with rates shown by region and payment method. It caps the rate, not your total bill.
DESNZ weekly road fuel prices. The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero publishes average UK pump prices for petrol and diesel every week, with history back to 2003 in CSV and Excel.
HM Land Registry Price Paid Data. The prices homes in England and Wales actually sold for, not what the seller hoped for, as free downloads or a simple search.
Companies House filing history. Every UK company's accounts, confirmation statements, officers and charges, searchable by name or number.
Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. The official UK services where public sector bodies publish tenders, contract notices and awards, including who won and the value.
Planning Inspectorate Appeals Casework Portal. Look up a planning appeal by case reference or advanced search, read the case documents and see the decision.
FCA net short position disclosures. The FCA publishes net short positions above the disclosure threshold in UK shares, updated daily as a spreadsheet. This is data only, not a signal to trade.
FCA Warning List. A list of firms the FCA says are operating without permission or running scams. Check any firm promising returns before you hand over money.
